Kay and Tay: How a normal family influence many!

 Introduction 

An influencer can be anyone, no matter their gender, race, or sexual orientation. Sometimes, the most "normal" people can make the best influencers. One of my favorite influencers is a mom of three named Kay. Kay and her husband Tay started a TikTok page featuring their little and growing family. As their page grew, they took that opportunity to highlight and recommend brands that they use daily and that they like. Watching the way they interact with each other, and their fan base shows a clear example of an effective influencer in action. 

Observations regarding the influencer marketing approach

One thing that stands out about Kay and Tay's approach to social media is how natural it makes them feel. Each video feels like we are just watching their life through a camera on the wall. While some influencers aggressively promote products they are trying to sell, Kay and Tay tend to use a more low-key approach, integrating item promotions into every video. They do this in small ways, like promoting items you can use in your day-to-day life, for example, items for babies, kitchen wear, hair products, and a lot more. As one of their followers, I do trust their judgment on the items they promote. 

Strategies they use

Kay and Tay use personal storytelling about their life. They film aspects of their day that they want to share with the world. They edit their videos to make them look seamless and professional, so it's easy to watch. They also collaborate with different companies that align with their videos. Brands will sponsor their videos, and in return, whatever brand sponsors them will get their brand's items shown in videos that get millions of views. 

Their role in Marketing

Kay and Tay get plenty of sponsorships related to family items, for the kids or the parents. Their followers trust them to give honest and helpful reviews. They help brands connect to their target audiences (Young and upcoming families). They don't just promote items but also their family's values. 

Marketing Impact

Using well-known influencers, like Kay and Tay, allows connections to grow between consumers and brands. The more trustworthy an influencer seems, the more viewers will want to purchase from the brand they are sponsoring. A lot of brands reach out to influencers and celebrities because people are more likely to listen to someone they have already formed a connection with, rather than a random brand ambassador. 

The Conclusion

Kay and Tay are great examples of influencers who sponsor brands. They help businesses communicate with potential customers. Through their family videos, date night videos, vacation videos, and more, they connect with many different people which allows them to grow their fan base and get more sponsorships. Sometimes the best ADs for a company come from real people and real life experiences.
